Meet Zeb Jones
Zeb Jones is currently the Director of Technical Services for the USAID sponsored GMED (Growth-Oriented Micro-Enterprise Development) Project in India. He has worked in India for the past two years developing direct market linkages between small scale producers and large corporate entrants into India’s newly developing retail food industry. As Director of Technical Services for the USAID GMED Project, his responsibilities includes the development of a dynamic new approach for providing technical services and direct market linkages to the newly emerging wholesale/retail industry, for over 10,000-plus small producers, as well as developing practical, user-friendly, training modules for the entire supply and value chains in India.
Zeb has been involved in both private and public sector agribusiness development for over 38 years in over 41 countries. During those 38 years, he has developed advanced solutions for every link in the supply/value chain from “farm to fork.” He has extensive experience as a grower of high value greenhouse hydroponics crops for large multi-national retail food chains, as well as for multi-national hotels, restaurants, and fast food chains. Zeb's family also owns and operates a large fleet of refrigerated transport vehicles that transported fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.
