Dalian Software Park(DLSP)

Dalian Software Park (DLSP) is a specialized park, established in June
1998 by Dalian Municipal People's Government to adopt centralized development of software industry.Situated in the area of higher education, scientific research, and culture institutions on the beautiful seaside of Xinghai Bay in the southwest of Dalian, it has land coverage of 3km2,which is the biggest in the planed acreage of the software parks in China at present.

More than 50 software enterprises, including China's first listing
software enterprise -Neu-Alpine Software Co.Ltd., have registered in DLSP in June 2000 as well. In addition, one of the biggest software enterprises, China National Computer Software & Technology Service Corporation, has established its export base to Japan and its training base in DLSP.

Singapore Information Technology Federation

TheSITF was formed in February 1999 as the result of a merger between the two largest IT trade associations in Singapore, namely, the Singapore Federation of the Computer Industry (SFCI), established in 1982, and the Microcomputer Trade Association of Singapore (MTAS), established in 1987.
The business activities of SITF membership are principally in the infocomm industry, which includes computer software and services, hardware manufacturers and suppliers, systems integrators, software developers, Internet and web-based content and service providers, ASP and services bureaus, providers of IT education and training products, computer components, and telecommunications equipment.

Activities of the SITF include business surveys, IT salary survey, seminars, training and workshops for members, IT exhibitions, trade missions and community development. SITF, through its councilors, are represented on the boards and committees of tertiary institutions and government advisory bodies.

Infocomm Development authority of Singapore

The Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) was created on 1 December 1999 from the merger of the National Computer Board (NCB) and the Telecommunication Authority of Singapore (TAS). It is a statutory board under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT). 

The IDA will oversee both IT and telecommunications, related or emerging infocomm industries, as well as the technical aspects of broadcasting regulation.

IDA's vision is "Singapore -- where the digital future is". The organisation's mission is to spearhead Singapore's drive to be a vital global info-communications centre, catalysing Singapore's transformation into a knowledge-based digital economy and society, in order to realise the benefits of the digital future. It will help Singapore exploit the opportunities created by the convergence of telecommunications, IT and media technologies.
