The PML conference 2004, held at Bangalore on the 7-8 May, received an overwhelming response with over 500 delegates. Inaugarated by Prof U.R.Rao, Chairman, PRL Council, ISRO-DOS (Former Chairman, Space Commission & Secretary, Department of Space) the conference proceedings included announcement of the QAI `Best of Best award' won by Infosys Technologoes Limited.


QAI announced the `Best of Best ' Awards which also presents the winners with
an opportunity to participate in the Best of the Best Awards of QAI USA. This year's winner is Kiran Kumar Marri from Infosys Technologies Limited. The runners-up are PH Vijaya Deepti, Ramanamurthy Nimmagadda, K. Uma Balasubramanian from TCS

The conference received an overwhelming response with the presence of over 500 participants. Presentations from stalwarts like Dr, Richard Zultner, Paul Solomon, Northrop Gromman and luminary speakers from high maturity organizations like Infosys, TCS,IBM, Covansys, Keane India, and many more, kept the participants enthralled and completely involved throughout the two day proceedings.

More than 100 papers
and best practices were submitted by practitioners and experts in the field of Project Management. They put forth the best of the industry's case studies and live examples to make the conference proceedings applicable to the industry's daily life. The best paper from among these was felicitated with the QAI "Best of Best" award, also gaining eligibilty for the CSI-QAI Award for process excellence, and the
Best of the Best Awards of QAI USA.The conferencce provided a platform to meet and exchange ideas with the best minds of the industry. It allowed a lot of live knowledge exchange and here's what a few of its particpants had to say:

At the end of the first days confernce proceedings the participants were entertained by the dance troupe, Nrityarutya. This captivating performance was followed by the much awaited QAI's "Best of Best" award felicitations. The grand finalé of the eventful and insightful day was a gala dinner, providing the participants with an informal platform for networking and exchanging ideas.
