Customer Business
Pradeep Waychal, Patni Computer
Systems Limited |

Testing businesses has its
unique challenges. One has to rely on various innovative
measures to overcome them.
This talk shares some of the innovations responsible
for the growth of this business and their quantitative
benefits. Till recently testing was an unpopular career
& as a result current test resource base is poor.
We have to judiciously choose recruitment channels to
service immediate business exigencies and build a solid
team for tomorrow. Also, a maturity model that manages
intake and governs career of testing professionals can
be developed. Testing is an engineering activity that
allows us to use Six Sigma Methodology effectively.
Some of them are in the area of finding more critical
defects at early stages, reducing test creation and
execution time to improve cost of quality, reducing
report generation cycle time. |
