The tutorial is about
the challenges we face establishing a brand new Software
Centre in Thailand. Recruiting 600 people in three years,
progress to date & how we intend to meet our target.
At the same time the transfer of support for 200 products
& the use of an onshore/offshore development model,
the immense amount of knowledge transfer, the language &
switching to be the core offshore development site. While
all of this is happening establishing a CMM® level 5
environments, which uses Six Sigma teams to drive process
improvement.
Paul Iredale
has over 20 years experience in management, development,
testing & process improvement within the commercial
& government industries. He is one of the most experienced
CMM® Lead Assessors in Europe & has performed over
80 formal assessments. He was the European Software Quality
Manager in Motorola responsible for both Quality & Process
Improvement across four development groups over 200 engineers
in Germany, Denmark, France & the UK the group achieved
CMM® Level 4 in 1996.
Suttawat Triwittayapoom has over 10 years experience
in software development, project management & process
improvement. He was part of the process improvement team
implementing CMM® Level 2 for the Bangkok development
group of Reuters. He is also a CMM® Lead Assessor &
continue to play a role in driving process improvement at
Reuters Software (Thailand), which achieved CMM® Level
3 in December 2002.
