The tutorial gives practical
guidelines for implementing metrics & analyzing them
using simple statistical methods. It gives an elegant defect
prevention system using problem-solving tools. The tutorial
helps to build an information system in your organization
using available metrics & thus integrates metrics with
software project management.
It is designed to sensitize all personnel in software organization
to Quality & get their buy-in for continuous improvement,
then provide a step by step, practical framework to Define,
Control, Assure & Manage Quality - leading to Total
Quality. The course is not a theory class on all topics
in Software Quality. It is an interactive discussion &
accomplishes experiential learning through discussions,
presentations & case studies. The tutorial is for organizations
aiming to go for Level 4 & 5.
Raj Ramanand
has over 18 years experience in the fields of Electronics,
Telecommunications, Software & consulting. He has carried
out CMM® consultancies at various organizations- British
Airways, U.K, ING Bank, Netherlands & CAC, Japan. He
was a Research Scientist at CARE, IIT Delhi, designing CMOS
VLSI for DRDO (DEFENCE) Missile program. He has trained
over 2000 working professionals worldwide. Some of the other
public workshops he conducts are Overview to SW-CMM, Overview
to CMMI®, Defect Prevention, Software Metrics, Quantitative
Process Management, Project Management, Software Quality
Assurance, Peer reviews & Software Engineering. He holds
a degree in Electrical Engineering & is also a CSQA
(Certified Software Quality Analyst from USA).
